Certified Bulgarian
Translation Services
Bulgarian is written in Cyrillic, which means every name on every document has to be put into Latin letters by somebody – and there is an official way of doing it that your passport already follows.
We use that spelling and hold it across the whole file. Everything is certified with a signed declaration of accuracy on company letterhead, dated, with our wet stamp. Send a scan and you will have a fixed price and a delivery date before anything starts.
WHAT THE HOME OFFICE actually asks for
Where documents provided are not in English or Welsh, you must provide a full dated and signed translation in English that can be verified. This must be dated and include the full name and signature of the translator or an authorised official of the translation company and their contact details.
gov.uk guidance on documents in support of an application
Every Bulgarian translation we issue carries all four elements – a full translation, a date, the translator named and signed, and contact details that can be checked – on company letterhead with our wet stamp. That is what acceptance actually turns on, and it is why we can guarantee it.

WHY EKO 4 for Bulgarian
Anyone can say they translate Bulgarian. These are the three things that actually decide whether a Bulgarian file is accepted.
There is an official way to spell your name in Latin letters, and your passport uses it
Bulgaria adopted a statutory transliteration standard, and passports follow it. Older documents, foreign records and family habit often do not, which is how one person ends up with two or three defensible Latin spellings. We use the one on your current passport across every document in the file, reproduce the source spelling where it differs, and flag it rather than hiding it.
The civil number is reproduced digit for digit
The unified civil number encodes date of birth and sex, and receiving bodies cross-check it against the rest of the document. It is copied exactly as printed, never reformatted, and never partially obscured unless you ask.
Marks run from 2 to 6, and 6 is the top
Bulgarian grades are the opposite way round from several systems a UK reader might assume, and a translation that helpfully converts them has made an assessment decision it had no standing to make. Marks are reproduced exactly as awarded with the scale reproduced alongside, so an admissions office or UK ENIC can judge on the evidence.

CERTIFIED, SWORN or apostilled – which do you need?
These are three different things and ordering the wrong one is the most common and most expensive mistake in the process. Which you need is decided entirely by who is receiving the document, and it is the first thing we check when you ask for a quote.
Certified translation
A signed declaration of accuracy on company letterhead, dated, with the translator named and our wet stamp applied – what the Home Office, UKVI, HMCTS, universities and employers ask for.
Certified translation →Sworn or notarised
Where an authority wants the declaration sworn before a solicitor acting as Commissioner for Oaths, or witnessed and sealed by a notary public. Usually asked for by a body outside the UK.

BULGARIAN translation – questions, answered
Will the Home Office accept a Bulgarian translation from you?
Yes, and we guarantee acceptance. It is complete and word for word, including seals and stamps, and issued dated on company letterhead with the translator named and signed and our contact details on it.
My name is spelled differently on my old documents.
Tell us the spelling on your current passport and we hold it across the file, reproducing the source spellings where they differ so the caseworker can see what happened. An unexplained mismatch is what triggers a request for further evidence.
Do you convert Bulgarian marks into UK grades?
No. They are reproduced exactly as awarded with the grading scale alongside them. Comparability is UK ENIC’s judgement or the institution’s, and a translator who pre-empts it has overstepped.
Will you translate my driving licence for the DVLA?
Yes, including the category and restriction codes on the reverse.
Do you need my original documents?
No. Clear scans of both sides are enough for the whole job including certification, and hard copies with our wet stamp are posted to your address when you need them.
How long does it take?
A standard certificate is normally back within 24 to 72 hours and expedited delivers as fast as 24 hours.
Send your Bulgarian document
A scan or a phone photograph is enough. You will have an itemised written quote, a delivery date and an honest answer on what certification the receiving body actually wants – free, with no obligation, and handled confidentially under UK GDPR.
