Translation
Nobody skims a transcript. An admissions tutor is looking for specific modules; UK ENIC is looking at credits, contact hours and the grading scale. A translation that summarises, reorders or drops a column is worse than useless.
So we mirror the document: the same table, the same order, every module title, every grade, every credit value, the grading scale printed on the reverse, and the registrar’s signature and seal. If a column is illegible, it is marked as illegible rather than filled in.
WHAT THE HOME OFFICE asks for
This is the requirement in the Home Office’s own words, and it is the standard every certified translation we issue is built to meet:
Where documents provided are not in English or Welsh, you must provide a full dated and signed translation in English that can be verified. This must be dated and include the full name and signature of the translator or an authorised official of the translation company and their contact details.

THINGS PEOPLE get caught out by
The grading scale is usually on the back
Most transcripts print the scale, the pass mark and the credit system on the reverse or in a footnote. UK ENIC needs it. Photograph every side of every sheet.
Every page, in order
Transcripts run to several pages and are read as a sequence. Send all of them; a partial transcript is routinely rejected.
Module titles are translated, not interpreted
A module is rendered as what it is called, with a literal English equivalent. We do not map it onto a UK module name that sounds similar – that is the receiving body’s judgement.
It is usually wanted with the certificate
The award and the detail are assessed together. See diploma and degree certificate translation; ordered as one job it is cheaper than two.

A photograph from your phone is fine, as long as every corner is in frame and the text, the stamps and anything written on the back are readable. Your original never leaves you.

Translation and checking
An accredited, sworn linguist translates it; a second linguist who is a native speaker of the target language reads the whole thing against the source.
Certification
The translation is issued with a signed declaration of accuracy on company letterhead, dated, with the translator named and our wet stamp applied.
Delivery
By email the day it is finished, with a wet-stamped hard copy posted to your address if you need one. Corrections afterwards are free.

How is a transcript priced when it runs to many pages?
On the actual content rather than a flat per-page rate, and repeated table headings are not charged over and over. Send the whole thing and the quote comes back itemised and fixed before you commit.
Will the table layout be preserved?
Yes. Professional DTP formatting is part of the price, so the translation mirrors the original table and can be read side by side with it. That is exactly how an assessor uses it.
Do you translate the grading scale on the back?
Yes, and you should send it. UK ENIC cannot assess a grade without knowing the scale it sits on, and a translation without it often comes back for more information.
Do you need the original?
No. Clear scans or photographs of every page, front and back, are enough for the whole job including certification.
Can you translate a transcript issued electronically?
Yes. Send the PDF exactly as the institution issued it, including any verification page or QR code, and that is translated and described too.
How long does it take?
A short transcript follows the standard 24 to 72 hours. A long one is quoted with its own delivery date, and expedited handling is available – without removing the second linguist who checks it.
