Remote Service & Business Continuity
EKO 4 has worked remotely since March 2020. What began as a response to the pandemic became the way the service is built – and it is the reason nothing of yours has to travel to get a certified translation.
How the service runs
EKO 4 Translations UK operates digitally from end to end. You send a scan or a photograph, we send back a fixed price and a delivery date, and the finished translation arrives by email – with a wet-stamped hard copy posted to your address when you need one.
Nothing of yours travels. We do not ask you to post original documents and we do not need you to bring anything anywhere. That is not a temporary arrangement: it is how the service is built, and it is the reason a customer in Belfast gets the same price and the same turnaround as one in London.
Where this started
It started as a response to the pandemic. In March 2020 our translators, project managers and support staff moved to working remotely, and the systems that made that possible – our own cloud translation platform, online ordering, digital certification – were already in place because we had been building them since 2012.
What was meant to be temporary turned out to be better. Turnaround improved, the pool of linguists we could draw on stopped being limited by geography, and customers stopped having to take a morning off to hand over a birth certificate. So it stayed.
Your documents and your data
Working remotely does not mean working loosely. Files move and are held through our own platform rather than being emailed around a network of freelancers. They are seen only by the linguists assigned to them, handled confidentially under UK GDPR, and kept no longer than the job and your right to free corrections require.
Every translation still goes through the same three-stage quality assessment it always did, and is still certified with a signed declaration of accuracy, company letterhead and our wet stamp. Remote changes where the work happens, not what it has to meet. How quality is assured →
Continuity
Because no part of the process depends on a particular building, disruption to one does not stop the service. Orders are taken online around the clock, project managers work from wherever they are, and translators are spread across time zones rather than concentrated in one office.
The commitments do not move either: 100% acceptance, accuracy and quality, delivery on time, and free corrections. Those were the promises before 2020 and they are the promises now.
Getting hold of us
Ordering runs 24/7 online, and free professional advice on what your document actually needs is part of the service rather than a sales call. If you telephone and we cannot answer, leave a message – voicemail and email are monitored continuously and answered as though we were sitting in an office, because in every way that matters to your order, we are.
