Arabic work divides cleanly in two. Documents coming into the UK – certificates, degrees, company papers – need a certified English translation a caseworker can verify. Documents going out usually need more than that: translation, certification, and then the legalisation chain the destination country runs.
Both are handled here, by accredited human linguists working in Modern Standard Arabic, which is what official documents are written in whatever the local spoken variety. WHAT THE HOME OFFICE actually asks for
Where documents provided are not in English or Welsh, you must provide a full dated and signed translation in English that can be verified. This must be dated and include the full name and signature of the translator or an authorised official of the translation company and their contact details.

WHY EKO 4 for Arabic
Anyone can say they translate Arabic. These are the three things that actually decide whether a Arabic file is accepted.
Hijri dates are shown, not quietly converted
A great many Arabic documents carry a Hijri date, sometimes alongside a Gregorian one and sometimes instead of it. Converting it silently produces a translated document whose date does not appear on the original – which is the sort of discrepancy a caseworker stops on. The date is reproduced as issued, with the Gregorian equivalent given alongside and marked as the translator’s note.
One name, several defensible spellings
Mohammed, Muhammad, Mohamed and Mohammad are the same name transliterated four ways, and a single family’s documents often contain more than one of them. The spelling on your passport is the one we use throughout, with the source spelling noted so the difference is visible rather than hidden. Getting this wrong is the most common reason an Arabic file comes back for more evidence.
Right to left is rebuilt, not reflowed
Arabic runs right to left and its documents are laid out accordingly – tables, seals, stamps and signature blocks all sit where the direction puts them. The English version is rebuilt so that every element appears where the reader expects it and every seal and stamp is described in place, rather than the text being poured into a left-to-right box and the layout lost.

Which Arabic do you translate into?
Modern Standard Arabic, which is what official and legal documents are written in across the Arab world regardless of the spoken variety. Where a document is going to a specific country and local terminology matters – company forms and tender documents especially – it goes to a linguist who works with that country’s paperwork.
Will the Home Office accept an Arabic translation from you?
Yes, and we guarantee acceptance. It is complete and word for word, with every seal and stamp accounted for, and it is issued dated, on company letterhead, with the translator named and signed and our contact details on it.
My document is going to an embassy, not to a UK office. Can you handle that?
Yes. That route usually needs the translation certified and then legalised, and for countries outside the Hague Convention that means embassy legalisation rather than an apostille. Can you read a handwritten or badly scanned document?
Usually, and where a word genuinely cannot be read it is marked illegible rather than guessed at. The single best thing you can do is send a sharp photograph with every corner in frame, including anything on the back.
Do you translate company and trade documents as well as personal ones?
Yes – commercial registers, trade licences, articles, audited accounts, tender documents and contracts, by linguists who work in that subject. Corporate volumes run through a corporate account rather than order by order.
Do you need my original document?
No. A clear scan or photograph is enough for the entire job including certification, and hard copies with our wet stamp are posted to your address when you need one.
