CERTIFIED MALAYALAM translation, accepted first time

Malayalam documents usually reach us alongside a Health and Care Worker visa, a nursing or medical registration, or a family application – files where a name that expands differently on two documents causes real delay.

Everything is translated by an accredited human linguist and certified with a signed declaration of accuracy on company letterhead, dated, with our wet stamp. Send a scan and you will have a fixed price and a delivery date before anything starts.

WHAT THE HOME OFFICE actually asks for

Where documents provided are not in English or Welsh, you must provide a full dated and signed translation in English that can be verified. This must be dated and include the full name and signature of the translator or an authorised official of the translation company and their contact details.

gov.uk guidance on documents in support of an application

Every Malayalam translation we issue carries all four elements – a full translation, a date, the translator named and signed, and contact details that can be checked – on company letterhead with our wet stamp. That is what acceptance actually turns on, and it is why we can guarantee it.

WHY EKO 4 for Malayalam

Anyone can say they translate Malayalam. These are the three things that actually decide whether a Malayalam file is accepted.

The initials in front of a Kerala name are not middle names

A name written K. G. Anil Kumar carries initials standing for a father’s name, a house name or both, and different documents expand them differently – one certificate spells them out in full, the next abbreviates them, a passport may drop them entirely. Treated as forenames they produce three apparently different people. We reproduce what each document says and set out how the forms correspond, so the file holds together.

The SSLC book is usually the document that actually proves the date of birth

In Kerala the Secondary School Leaving Certificate book is the standard proof of date of birth, and UK bodies frequently ask for it without knowing what it is called. It is a booklet rather than a single sheet, so every page that carries an entry, a correction or a stamp is translated – a translation of the front page alone is the usual reason one comes back.

Malayalam names reach English by several routes at once

Transliteration is not standardised: the same name appears as Sreekumar, Srikumar and Shreekumar, and a syllable can be written –th– or –t– depending on who typed it. We reproduce each document as issued and use the passport spelling consistently across the file, flagging any document that disagrees with itself rather than quietly standardising it.

CERTIFIED, SWORN or apostilled – which do you need?

These are three different things and ordering the wrong one is the most common and most expensive mistake in the process. Which you need is decided entirely by who is receiving the document, and it is the first thing we check when you ask for a quote.

MALAYALAM translation – questions, answered

Will the Home Office accept a Malayalam translation from you?

Yes, and we guarantee acceptance. It is complete and word for word, including seals and stamps, and issued dated on company letterhead with the translator named and signed and our contact details on it.

My documents expand my initials differently. Which one is right?

Very often all of them are, because initials stand for a father’s or house name rather than a middle name. We translate each document as issued and explain how the forms relate, so the set reads as one person.

Do you need every page of my SSLC book?

Yes, or at least every page carrying an entry, a stamp or a correction. Sending only the first page is the most common reason an SSLC translation is rejected.

Can you translate my degree certificate and mark lists for a UK employer?

Yes, and they are quoted as one job with one delivery date. Marks are reproduced exactly as awarded and never converted to a UK classification – comparability is UK ENIC’s judgement.

My certificate is partly in English already.

Common with Kerala documents, and it does not remove the need for a certified translation: the seals, endorsements and handwritten entries are usually the Malayalam parts, and they are exactly what a caseworker checks. We translate everything on the page, including the stamps.

Do you need my original documents?

No. A clear scan or photograph of both sides is enough for the entire job including certification. Your originals stay with you and a wet-stamped hard copy is posted to your address when you need one.

Send your Malayalam document

A scan or a phone photograph is enough. You will have an itemised written quote, a delivery date and an honest answer on what certification the receiving body actually wants – free, with no obligation, and handled confidentially under UK GDPR.

MALAYALAM TRANSLATION wherever you are in the UK

The whole service runs digitally, so where you are makes no difference to the work, the timing or the price. Send a scan, approve the quote, and the finished translation comes back by email – with a wet-stamped hard copy posted to your address when you need one.
