Translation for
Law Firms

Quoted to a matter reference, worked to the court date, and handled on our own platform – not emailed round a freelancer pool.

Quoted and invoiced against your matter reference
Worked to the hearing date, with an honest answer first
Files stay on our platform; NDAs signed before anything moves
Certified, sworn or notarised as the court requires

BUILT ROUND how law firms actually buy translation

What a firm needs from a translation supplier is not mainly linguistic. It is a cost you can put against a matter, a date you can rely on in front of a judge, and a chain of custody your risk partner is comfortable with.

The legal side is on the legal translation page. This one is about how a practice actually buys it.

WHAT LAW FIRMS send us

  • Contracts and agreements for review
  • Court bundles and pleadings
  • Witness statements and exhibits
  • Foreign judgments and orders
  • Disclosure and evidence
  • Client identity and onboarding documents
  • Powers of attorney and notarial deeds
  • Wills, probate and estate papers
  • Expert reports
  • Corporate filings for due diligence

Something not on the list? Send it. The analysis is free and we will tell you honestly whether it is work we should be doing – which is more useful than a page claiming we cover everything.

THREE THINGS that matter more to you than to anyone else

Quoted to a matter, invoiced as a disbursement

Every job is quoted and itemised against the reference you give it, so it lands on the right file and can be recovered as a disbursement without anybody reconstructing what it was for. Firms sending work weekly settle this once on a corporate account and stop raising a purchase decision per document.

The deadline is the court’s, and we will say when it is not achievable

Tell us the hearing or filing date when you send the papers and you get a straight answer before you commit – including a no. A supplier who agrees to everything and delivers late has cost you more than one who declined at the outset, and in this field that difference is measured in wasted counsel time.

Nothing is emailed to a freelancer pool

Files move and are held through our own platform and dedicated document servers, seen only by the linguists assigned to the matter, under UK GDPR. We will sign your NDA before anything is sent and work from your data processing agreement, and we can supply the insurance certificate and the compliance detail your onboarding form asks for.

QUESTIONS from law firms

Can you work to a hearing date?

Yes, and that is the normal case. Send the papers with the date and you will have a fixed price, a delivery date and an honest answer about achievability before you commit.

Will a UK court accept the translation?

Yes. It is issued dated, on company letterhead, with the translator named and signed and our contact details on it. Where the court or the other side wants more, the declaration can be sworn before a solicitor acting as Commissioner for Oaths or witnessed by a notary – see sworn and notarised translation.

How do you handle a large disclosure exercise?

As one project against one glossary with a standing team, at up to 11,000 words a day, rather than split across freelancers who will each name the same defined term differently.

What do you need for our supplier onboarding?

Ask and you will have it before the first instruction rather than after: our insurance position, the data processing agreement, how files are held and how long, and confirmation of the quality standard we work to.

Do you work in both directions?

Both, across 76 languages. Tell us the pair and the jurisdiction the document is going to, because the second changes the terminology as much as the first.

Send us something to quote

One document or a whole file. You will have an itemised written quote, a delivery date and a straight answer on what the receiving body actually needs – free, with no obligation, and handled confidentially under UK GDPR. We will sign your NDA first if you would rather.

WHEREVER your offices are

The whole service runs digitally, so where you are makes no difference to the work, the timing or the price. Send files, approve the quote, and the finished work comes back by email – with a wet-stamped hard copy posted to your address when one is needed.
