CERTIFIED ALBANIAN translation, accepted first time

Albanian-language documents come from more than one country, and the difference matters before a word is translated. Albania and Kosovo run separate civil registries with different forms, references and issuing offices, and Albanian-language documents also come out of North Macedonia.

Tell us where yours was issued and it goes to a linguist who works with that system. Everything is certified with a signed declaration of accuracy on company letterhead, dated, with our wet stamp.

WHAT THE HOME OFFICE actually asks for

Where documents provided are not in English or Welsh, you must provide a full dated and signed translation in English that can be verified. This must be dated and include the full name and signature of the translator or an authorised official of the translation company and their contact details.

gov.uk guidance on documents in support of an application

Every Albanian translation we issue carries all four elements – a full translation, a date, the translator named and signed, and contact details that can be checked – on company letterhead with our wet stamp. That is what acceptance actually turns on, and it is why we can guarantee it.

WHY EKO 4 for Albanian

Anyone can say they translate Albanian. These are the three things that actually decide whether a Albanian file is accepted.

The family certificate is often the document you actually need

A çertifikatë familjare sets out the whole household in one record – parents, spouse, children, dates and places – which is why it answers a relationship question that would otherwise take three separate certificates. If what you are proving is who belongs to whom, obtaining one before you order will usually cost you less than translating the alternatives.

Albania and Kosovo are separate systems

The forms, the issuing offices, the reference numbering and a good deal of the vocabulary differ between an Albanian record and a Kosovan one, and Albanian-language documents also come out of North Macedonia. Documents are assigned to linguists who work with the right system, and we tell you if what you have sent looks like it came from another one.

Gheg is spoken; documents are in standard Albanian

Most UK Albanian speakers grew up with Gheg or a regional variety, and people reasonably ask whether that changes anything. Official records are written in standard Albanian, which is what the translation works from – so an unfamiliar-looking certificate is not a sign that something is wrong with it.

CERTIFIED, SWORN or apostilled – which do you need?

These are three different things and ordering the wrong one is the most common and most expensive mistake in the process. Which you need is decided entirely by who is receiving the document, and it is the first thing we check when you ask for a quote.

ALBANIAN translation – questions, answered

Will the Home Office accept an Albanian translation from you?

Yes, and we guarantee acceptance. Every document is translated in full, including seals, stamps and handwritten entries, and issued dated on company letterhead with the translator named and signed and our contact details on it.

My documents are from Kosovo rather than Albania.

That is fine and worth telling us when you send them. The two use different forms and different issuing offices, so the document goes to a linguist who works with the right one.

What is a family certificate and should I get one?

It is an extract from the civil register showing the household in one document. If you are proving a relationship it is usually the most efficient thing to obtain and translate. Ask us before you order and we will tell you free of charge.

Can you handle handwritten or older records?

Yes. Where a word genuinely cannot be read it is marked illegible rather than guessed at, and if the unreadable part matters we tell you before delivery so you can obtain a clearer copy.

Do you need my original documents?

No. Clear scans of both sides are enough for the entire job including certification, and hard copies come to your address when you need them.

How fast can you deliver?

A standard certificate is normally back within 24 to 72 hours and expedited delivers as fast as 24 hours. Tell us the deadline and you will get an honest answer before you pay.

Send your Albanian document

A scan or a phone photograph is enough. You will have an itemised written quote, a delivery date and an honest answer on what certification the receiving body actually wants – free, with no obligation, and handled confidentially under UK GDPR.
