CERTIFIED HINDI translation, accepted first time

People often ask us for Hindi when they mean Urdu, and for Urdu when they mean Hindi, and the confusion is understandable: spoken, they are close enough to be mutually intelligible. Written, they are not the same thing at all – Hindi in Devanagari, Urdu in a Perso-Arabic script.

Send the document and we will tell you which you actually have before quoting for the wrong one. Everything is certified with a signed declaration of accuracy on company letterhead, dated, with our wet stamp.

WHAT THE HOME OFFICE actually asks for

Where documents provided are not in English or Welsh, you must provide a full dated and signed translation in English that can be verified. This must be dated and include the full name and signature of the translator or an authorised official of the translation company and their contact details.

gov.uk guidance on documents in support of an application

Every Hindi translation we issue carries all four elements – a full translation, a date, the translator named and signed, and contact details that can be checked – on company letterhead with our wet stamp. That is what acceptance actually turns on, and it is why we can guarantee it.

WHY EKO 4 for Hindi

Anyone can say they translate Hindi. These are the three things that actually decide whether a Hindi file is accepted.

Hindi and Urdu are not the same document

They are close as spoken languages and separate as written ones: Devanagari for Hindi, a Perso-Arabic script for Urdu. A linguist reading one is not automatically reading the other, and ordering the wrong one wastes a day you may not have. Send a scan and we will tell you which you are holding – free, and before anything is quoted.

Kumar, Kumari and Devi move around

Indian names frequently carry an element that behaves as a middle name on one document and as a surname on the next, and a father’s name is often embedded in the full name outright. Both versions are genuine and a caseworker comparing them sees an inconsistency. We reproduce each name in the order its own document gives it and flag the differences to you rather than quietly standardising them.

State by state, the same certificate looks different

Civil registration in India is administered locally, so a birth certificate from one state carries different fields, wording and endorsements from one issued in another, and older records are largely handwritten. We translate what is on the page rather than filling a template, and mark anything genuinely illegible instead of guessing.

CERTIFIED, SWORN or apostilled – which do you need?

These are three different things and ordering the wrong one is the most common and most expensive mistake in the process. Which you need is decided entirely by who is receiving the document, and it is the first thing we check when you ask for a quote.

HINDI translation – questions, answered

Is my document Hindi or Urdu?

Send it and we will tell you free of charge. Hindi is written in Devanagari and Urdu in a Perso-Arabic script, so it takes a moment to establish – and it is worth establishing before you pay for the wrong one.

Will UKVI accept a Hindi translation from you?

Yes, and we guarantee acceptance. It is complete and word for word, including seals, stamps and handwritten entries, and issued dated on company letterhead with the translator named and signed and our contact details on it.

Part of my document is already in English.

We translate the whole document anyway, English portions included, so the certified version is a complete rendering. A partly English document is not a certified translation by a named translator, which is what the guidance asks for.

Can you translate marksheets for a UK university?

Yes, with the certificate alongside. Percentages, divisions and CGPA are reproduced exactly as awarded with the scale alongside them; comparability is UK ENIC’s judgement.

Do you need my original documents?

No. Clear scans of both sides are enough for the whole job including certification.

How long does a family set take?

A standard certificate is normally back within 24 to 72 hours and expedited delivers as fast as 24 hours. A full bundle is quoted as one job with one delivery date.

Send your Hindi document

A scan or a phone photograph is enough. You will have an itemised written quote, a delivery date and an honest answer on what certification the receiving body actually wants – free, with no obligation, and handled confidentially under UK GDPR.

HINDI TRANSLATION wherever you are in the UK

The whole service runs digitally, so where you are makes no difference to the work, the timing or the price. Send a scan, approve the quote, and the finished translation comes back by email – with a wet-stamped hard copy posted to your address when you need one.
