CERTIFIED PASHTO translation, accepted first time

Pashto documents nearly always arrive as part of an asylum, family reunion or resettlement file, where a date read wrongly or a name spelled two ways can cost months. That is the part we take seriously.

Everything is translated by an accredited human linguist and certified with a signed declaration of accuracy on company letterhead, dated, with our wet stamp. Send a scan and you will have a fixed price and a delivery date before anything starts.

WHAT THE HOME OFFICE actually asks for

Where documents provided are not in English or Welsh, you must provide a full dated and signed translation in English that can be verified. This must be dated and include the full name and signature of the translator or an authorised official of the translation company and their contact details.

gov.uk guidance on documents in support of an application

Every Pashto translation we issue carries all four elements – a full translation, a date, the translator named and signed, and contact details that can be checked – on company letterhead with our wet stamp. That is what acceptance actually turns on, and it is why we can guarantee it.

WHY EKO 4 for Pashto

Anyone can say they translate Pashto. These are the three things that actually decide whether a Pashto file is accepted.

Afghan dates are not Gregorian, and the difference is roughly 621 years

Afghan documents are dated in the solar Hijri calendar, so a tazkira may read 1382 where the Gregorian date is 2003, and the year turns at Nawroz in March rather than on 1 January. A date copied across unconverted is not a small error – it makes an applicant the wrong age. Every date is converted and both are shown, the original and the Gregorian equivalent, so the conversion can be checked rather than trusted.

Many Afghan documents carry no family name at all

A tazkira commonly records a given name with a father’s and grandfather’s name as the identifiers, and no surname in the sense a UK form expects. People then enter different parts of that string as a “surname” on different applications, and the documents stop agreeing with each other. We translate exactly what the document records, label which name is whose, and never invent a surname to fill a field.

One name, several English spellings, across the same file

Names transliterated from Pashto reach English in many forms – Mohammad, Muhammad and Mohammed are the same name, and so are Rahmatullah and Rahmat Ullah. We reproduce the source, use the spelling that appears in the passport or Home Office record consistently across the whole file, and flag where a document itself is inconsistent rather than quietly tidying it.

CERTIFIED, SWORN or apostilled – which do you need?

These are three different things and ordering the wrong one is the most common and most expensive mistake in the process. Which you need is decided entirely by who is receiving the document, and it is the first thing we check when you ask for a quote.

PASHTO translation – questions, answered

Will the Home Office accept a Pashto translation from you?

Yes, and we guarantee acceptance. It is complete and word for word, including seals and stamps, and issued dated on company letterhead with the translator named and signed and our contact details on it.

My document might be in Dari rather than Pashto. Does that matter?

Not to the price of a standard document, and it is very common – official Afghan paperwork is often issued in Dari whoever it belongs to. Send the scan and we will tell you which language it is actually in before you commit to anything.

How do you handle the dates on my tazkira?

They are converted from the solar Hijri calendar and shown both ways, original and Gregorian, so the caseworker can see the conversion rather than take it on trust. Where a document gives only a year, we say so rather than inventing a day and month.

My name is spelled differently on different documents.

That is normal with names transliterated from Pashto. We reproduce each document as issued and use your passport spelling consistently across the file, so the set reads as one person.

Do you need my original documents?

No. A clear scan or photograph of both sides is enough for the entire job including certification. Your originals stay with you and a wet-stamped hard copy is posted to your address when you need one.

My document is handwritten and hard to read.

Send it anyway and we will tell you honestly what is legible before you pay. Anything genuinely unreadable is marked as illegible in the translation rather than guessed at, because a guess in an asylum file is worse than a gap.

Send your Pashto document

A scan or a phone photograph is enough. You will have an itemised written quote, a delivery date and an honest answer on what certification the receiving body actually wants – free, with no obligation, and handled confidentially under UK GDPR.
